About Kate

Kate Miller is a clinical psychologist with many years of experience working with adults (and youths aged 17+) across a range of presentations. She believes in a warm, empathetic approach to therapy, where clients work collaboratively with her to explore concerns, develop adaptive skills and strategies, and regain the confidence to pursue their goals.

Kate has a particular interest in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. She tailors her approach to suit each client’s individual needs and goals, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Schema Therapy.

Anxiety/Depression: social anxiety disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, health related anxiety, perimenopause, coping with life limiting diagnosis/terminal illness, panic, OCD, intrusive thoughts, phobias, emetophobia

Loss and Grief: normative and complicated grief, loss of partner, child, pregnancy, managing major life transitions, adjustment disorder

Workplace stress: work stress, burnout, bullying, career decision support and counselling

Trauma: trauma focused therapy

Psychosis/Bipolar disorders: psychoeducation and family/carer support

Somatic/behavioural complaints: body focused repetitive behaviours - skin picking, joint cracking
