About Deborah
Deborah is currently completing a Master of Counselling and holds a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences and a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced). She is also a student member of the Australian Counselling Association. As part of her professional training, she is undertaking a supervised counselling placement with Presence of Mind Psychology in Wynnum.
She works with young people aged 12 years and over, as well as adults, and adopts a compassionate, collaborative, and person-centred approach grounded in evidence-based practice. She is committed to creating a safe, and non-judgemental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported to explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and work towards meaningful change.
Deborah recognises the uniqueness of each person's experience and tailors counselling to meet individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Her aim is to support clients in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, emotional wellbeing, and more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others.
Areas of Interest
Deborah has a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss. She works with adults and adolescents, tailoring support to each person’s unique needs, strengths and goals, while fostering resilience, self-understanding, and wellbeing.
